What happened to Paxful

The company announced in 2025 that it would wind down operations by November 1, told users to withdraw their balances, and said the closure came from the cost of cleaning up after what it described as earlier misconduct by former co-founders, not from insolvency. It ended in an orderly way. It still ended.

The honest fit

Paxful was a marketplace: gift cards, bank transfers, mobile money, hundreds of payment methods with a person on the other end. SwapSS does none of that. We exchange one cryptocurrency for another, full stop. What we take over is the crypto leg: moving between USDT, BTC and other coins without an account and without a counterparty.

No tiers, by construction

Verification tiers exist to protect stored balances and fiat rails. We hold neither. Your coins are with us only for the minutes a swap takes, then they are at your address. So there is no Level 0 with training-wheel limits and no Level 4 waiting on a video call. The form works the same for everyone, the first time and the hundredth.

Stablecoins, done carefully

Most trades on Paxful ended in USDT anyway. Here you can swap into and out of USDT on several networks, and the form always shows the network next to the address, so a TRON address never meets an Ethereum transfer.
