AML / KYC / KYT Policy

SwapSS is a crypto-to-crypto exchange. We screen exchanges for links to illicit activity and apply this policy the same way to every order. This page explains what is screened, what can pause an order, when we ask for verification, and how a held order is resolved.

Scope

The policy covers every exchange order created on SwapSS. A normal exchange needs no account and no identity documents: screening is automatic and applies to the funds, not the person.

Transaction screening (KYT)

Every order receives a unique one-time deposit address, and every deposit is screened against industry-standard risk indicators: sanctioned addresses, funds linked to thefts and hacks, darknet marketplaces, and laundering services. A normal exchange passes silently — screening adds no delay and no questions.

When an order is paused

If a deposit is flagged as high-risk, the order stops for manual review instead of executing. A flagged order is decided by a person, never guessed by software. While an order is on hold, the funds are not exchanged and not forwarded.

Verification (KYC)

For a flagged order we may ask you to confirm control of the sending wallet or to explain the source of funds. Verification is requested only when screening raises a specific concern about a specific deposit — there is no blanket identity check.

Outcomes of a review

A reviewed order ends in one of two ways: it is completed, or the deposit is returned to a sender-controlled address minus the network fee once the review is complete. We tell you the outcome and the reason as far as we can lawfully share it.

Cooperation with authorities

Like every exchange service, we answer valid, lawful requests from law enforcement. In the rare case where the law itself requires it, specific funds can be held until the matter is resolved. That is a legal obligation, not a practice of ours, and it never touches a normal exchange.

Data and retention

We keep the minimum needed to run the exchange and this policy: order details, addresses, transaction identifiers, and screening results. We do not build profiles and do not sell data. Retention follows our Privacy Policy.

Your agreement

Creating an exchange order means you accept this policy together with the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.

Write to us through the support page with your order ID — a held order is answered by a person.
