Fixed rate vs floating rate crypto swaps

Rate type is one of the first things users search when comparing instant crypto swaps. The useful answer is not hype. It is what is locked, what can move, and what the user should verify before sending funds.

Floating rate swaps

A floating quote shows the expected receive amount at the time of quote. The final receive amount can move with market rate, liquidity, network timing, and execution conditions.

Fixed rate swaps

A fixed quote aims to lock the receive amount for a limited time and amount window. The user still needs to send the right asset, network, and amount before the quote expires.

What to compare

Users should compare the shown receive amount, quote expiry, minimum amount, network fee treatment, refund path, and review policy. A headline rate alone is not enough information.

What SwapSS should show

The order surface should show quote type, source asset, destination asset, input amount, expected output, receiving address, deposit instruction, and status. Internal routing details stay out of public pages.
