A TradeOgre alternative that keeps nothing of yours
On September 18, 2025, Canadian police seized TradeOgre. Every balance sitting on the exchange was seized with it, and getting anything back means paperwork, waiting and no guarantees. The people who lost the most were the ones using an exchange as a wallet. SwapSS is shaped so that mistake is impossible: no accounts, no balances, only swaps passing through.

What happened to TradeOgre
The RCMP shut the exchange down on September 18, 2025 and seized more than 56 million Canadian dollars in crypto, the largest such seizure in the country. User funds became inaccessible overnight. Whatever the courts decide about the operators, the balances belonged to users, and it is users who are still waiting.
What the seizure taught
TradeOgre held everyone’s coins in its own wallets. That is what an order-book exchange has to do, and it is why the seizure reached its users: when the servers went, the balances went. A swap service holds nothing overnight. Your coins touch us for the minutes a swap is in flight and land at your own address. If our servers vanished tomorrow, your money would not be on them.
What we are, honestly
TradeOgre was a real trading venue: order books, limit orders, hundreds of small coins. We will not pretend a swap form replaces that. There are no charts here and no microcaps. What we replace is the reason most people kept coming back anyway: moving between Monero, Bitcoin and stablecoins quickly, without an account and without leaving anything behind. One more honest line: deposits here run a risk screen, and flagged funds go to a human for review, not into a pool.

- 03 The swap executes and pays out to your wallet. No balance is created anywhere.
FAQ
- What exactly happened to TradeOgre?
- Canadian police seized it on September 18, 2025, along with more than 56 million Canadian dollars in crypto. The exchange had not registered as a money services business, and user balances became inaccessible when the servers were taken.
- Could the same thing hit funds I swap here?
- There are no balances here to take. Coins touch SwapSS only for the minutes a swap runs, then arrive at your own address. What sits in your wallet sits with you, not with us.
- Do you support Monero properly?
- Yes, both directions: into XMR and out of it, against BTC, USDT, ETH and more. Monero is a first-class asset here, not an afterthought.
- Do you have order books or limit orders?
- No. SwapSS is a swap service, not a trading venue. You get one locked quote per swap: the rate you see when you start is the rate that settles.
- Do I need an account?
- No. No registration, no email, no API keys to guard. Amount and address is the whole form.
