Checklist: What You Need Before Accepting Crypto Payments
A checklist for getting started with crypto payments: what to prepare, choose, and configure before your first transaction.

Getting started with crypto payments takes less than most people expect. Here's what you actually need before the first payment.
Choose a payment processor
A single wallet won't do: you can't tie an incoming transfer to a specific order, and you'll drown in manual reconciliation. You need a payment gateway that creates a unique address or invoice for each payment and tracks the status itself.
Decide which coins to accept
One is enough to start: USDT on the TRC20 network. Cheap to transfer, stable in value, familiar to most payers. Add other coins and networks once you've found your footing.
Understand where the money goes
Check the withdrawal model: funds accumulate on your service balance, and you withdraw when it suits you. Make sure you have a withdrawal address that you control.
Set up the payment page or integration
The page should show the network next to the address. That one detail prevents half of all customer mistakes. For WooCommerce there's a ready plugin. For Tilda and Shopify, connect via integration.
Plan for support
A crypto payment is final. If a customer sends to the wrong network or the wrong amount, you'll need to sort it out manually. Have a contact ready for those situations and know what you can actually do before it happens.
Run one test with a small amount
Do a dry run: create an invoice, pay it yourself, confirm the status updated and the money arrived in your balance. It takes five minutes and gives you confidence before the first real customer.
