Data: your browser talks directly to CoinGecko. Your browser fetches the current XMR market price directly from the CoinGecko public API. The amounts you type never leave the page.

A plain Monero price converter: type an amount in XMR or in a currency, and see the other side at the current market price with the 24-hour change.

A market price is an index, not a quote

The number here is a global market mid-price: an average across venues, useful for orientation. Any real exchange - ours included - fills at a live executable rate that includes network costs and a service fee, so the amount you would actually receive differs from a raw index price. An honest converter says that instead of pretending the index is spendable. The math happens in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to us.

Why the price moves while you look at it

Monero trades around the clock. The converter refreshes on demand rather than streaming, because for a mental-math check a fresh-on-request number is enough. When you are ready to act, a binding quote with an expiry window is what matters - that is what an order page is for.

Privacy posture of this page

The page loads no third-party scripts and sets no analytics. The only network request is the price lookup your own browser makes.

  • Amounts are computed locally and never transmitted.
  • No cookies are set by this tool.
  • The price source is named openly so you can verify it yourself.

Questions

Is this the rate I would get on an exchange?
No. It is the global market mid-price. An executable exchange rate includes network costs and a service fee, and is locked by a quote with an expiry, not by an index.
How fresh is the price?
It is fetched when the page loads and again whenever you press refresh, with a short cooldown to stay within the public API limits.
