Do I have to make an account to turn BTC into DOGE?
No, there is no account to make: the swap runs straight from the form. We do not check the identity of the person swapping - the screening is applied to the funds that arrive at the deposit address. Should a deposit fail that screening, the exchange is halted and the Bitcoin returns to an address the sender controls.
How soon does DOGE arrive after I send Bitcoin?
Almost all of the waiting sits on the Bitcoin side: its network confirms blocks without hurry, by design, and nobody can rush it. Once your deposit has gathered its confirmations, Dogecoin adds little on top, since its blocks come around far more often. We promise no specific minutes - Bitcoin traffic that hour sets the pace.
What if I pick the wrong network?
Send Bitcoin on the Bitcoin network and give a Dogecoin address, the one starting with D, not a Bitcoin one. If it arrives wrong, message @swappsy and we will sort it by hand.
Does DOGE arrive on its own Dogecoin network?
Yes, it is the real coin on the Dogecoin network, not a token living on another chain. Give an address from a Dogecoin wallet - as a rule it starts with the letter D. An exchange deposit address works too, as long as Dogecoin is the network selected for it.
Can the BTC come from an exchange withdrawal?
It can, as long as the withdrawal uses the ordinary Bitcoin network rather than Lightning. Paste the shown deposit address into the withdrawal form and send it as one transaction. Mind the platform withdrawal fee: the amount reaching the deposit should stay close to the order.
Is it safe?
We do not ask for documents and do not hold your coins longer than the swap itself. The rate is locked before you send, so there is no surprise on arrival.
If the swap fails, do I get my Bitcoin back?
You do. Leave a return address and the deposit travels back over the Bitcoin network to a wallet you control. Nothing stays parked with us: an order either completes with DOGE paid out or ends with the Bitcoin returned to its sender.
