USDT arrives on the Ethereum network (ERC-20), so give an address from there, not from TRON or BNB Chain. Note that moving this USDT onward on Ethereum costs gas (you need ETH in the wallet): if cheap transfers matter more, look at the TRON-network version. The swap goes through after Bitcoin network confirmations. The exact rate and minimum are shown right in the swap form. If the wallet does not show USDT after the payout, do not worry: sometimes the token has to be added to the list manually, while the coins are already on the address. Keep a little ETH on the same wallet - without it the received dollars cannot move anywhere. The order itself does not need it, only your later transfers.

Are there accounts or personal checks here?
No accounts exist at all, and nobody establishes the identity of the person swapping. The screening applies to the funds: automation reviews the deposit arriving at the shown address. If it cannot be cleared, the swap does not begin and the Bitcoin returns to an address under the control of the sender.
How is ERC-20 different from TRC-20?
It is the same dollar on different networks. ERC-20 lives on Ethereum, where transfers cost gas, while TRC-20 lives on TRON, where the fee is pennies. Pick ERC-20 when an app needs exactly that.
When do the dollars arrive after I send BTC?
Once the Bitcoin network has confirmed your deposit: it hurries for no one, by construction, and that is the longest leg of the trip. Ethereum on the payout side usually adds a moderate stretch, noticeable mainly when the network is busy. No exact minutes promised - the order status updates as it moves.
What if the address is on the wrong network?
USDT-ERC-20 needs an address on the Ethereum network. If unsure, message @swappsy before sending and we will help.
What does my wallet need to accept this USDT?
It needs to display ERC-20 tokens on the Ethereum network, which almost any Ethereum wallet does. The address starts with 0x. If the USDT is not visible after the payout, add the token to the list manually: the coins are already on the address, the wallet just does not show them. Moving them onward later takes a little ETH for gas.
Can the BTC come from an exchange account?
It can: order a withdrawal on the regular Bitcoin network to the shown deposit address, in one transaction, no Lightning. The platform keeps its own withdrawal fee, so make sure the amount from your order is what actually reaches the address.
The swap did not happen - where is my Bitcoin?
It is not lost. Leave a Bitcoin return address and the deposit travels back to the sender over the same network. We leave no in-between states: an order finishes either with dollars in your wallet or with the Bitcoin returned.
