How to Swap a Coin While Moving It from an Exchange to a Wallet
How to safely move crypto from an exchange to a personal wallet and swap it in one step. A plain, step-by-step guide.

If you want to swap a coin at the same time as withdrawing it from an exchange, you can do it in one move. You withdraw one coin from the exchange, and a different coin lands in your wallet.
How it works
Create an order on the swap service: choose what you are sending (say, ETH from the exchange) and what you want to receive (USDT or BTC). You get a deposit address. Withdraw the coin from the exchange to that address. The exchange executes the order and sends the target coin to your wallet.
No registration required. The rate and final amount are visible before you send.
What to check before withdrawing from the exchange
The network. The deposit address is issued for a specific network. If the service is expecting ETH on ERC-20 and you select BEP-20 on your exchange, the coins will not arrive. The network is shown next to the address in the order; match it to the withdrawal settings on your exchange.
The minimum. The exchange charges a withdrawal fee, so what arrives at the deposit address will be slightly less than your balance. Make sure the amount after the exchange fee still clears the swap service's minimum.
Confirmation time. Some exchanges delay withdrawals: a first-time withdrawal to a new address may require email confirmation or a waiting period of several hours. Factor that in.
What to do if the order expires
Orders have a waiting window. If coins from the exchange were delayed and the order expired, you can usually create a new one to the same address or contact support.
